What's Selene?
SELENE is a versatile reverb plug-in with a generous free tier, able to create classic reverb sounds with ease.
It creates vast, ethereal soundscapes with a complex algorithmic reverberation engine providing smooth tails.

CPU and memory usage
SELENE uses 2.1x more CPU than a GRAILLON 3 instance, and is 170% more costly when Shimmer is enabled (Full Edition only).
SELENE uses 40 MB RAM per instance.
Selene's heritage
Ever since releasing PANAGEMENT 2 in 2019, we've received praise for its smooth reverb tail, which helps in more realistic genres like classical, cinematic, and folk music.
People asked for PANAGEMENT's reverb to be in its own plug-in.
SELENE is basically that, with a lot of unforeseen improvements. It has a "box-tone", which can make the reverb more of a character in the mix.
Internal Tune-Up
SELENE doesn't need to be that realistic and is more of a go-to mix reverb with multiple uses.
Our algorithm has been entirely retuned and, more importantly, extended to go in a less naturalistic direction:
- More Size (up to 300%).
- More maximum Diffusion.
- More Decay.
- More Modulation.
- More Control.
A Source-Adaptive reverb
SELENE has three counter-measures against bad sound:
- Compressors inside the reverb "tank" to avoid harmful build-up.
- Deessers clean up the reverb tail.
- Source dynamics modulate the density of echoes.
Like in every Auburn Sounds plug-in, this enlarges the "sweet spot", hugely helping the song production process.
Mix section
Sliders are provided to mix Dry input, Early and Late reflections, as well as a master output gain.
Additionally, everything can be continuously bypassed to 0% with the Amount knob. With that or the Bypass button, SELENE can null, provided oversampling is turned off.
Conclusion
SELENE is a well-rounded reverb with both personality and range. It can handle a lot of mixing tasks with style, such as Plate, Chambers, Room, Halls, Cathedrals, and huge spaces.
